Popular K-pop festival KCON will be headed to Germany for the first time this year. Here’s everything you need to know about the event’s line-up, venue, tickets and more.
On June 21, festival organiser CJ ENM announced that its popular K-pop music event KCON will be headed to Europe for the first time since 2016. It’s set to be held in September 28 and 29 at the Messe Frankfurt in Germany.
“I am very happy to announce the first-ever KCON in Germany for the European K-pop fans who have waited a long time,” said Shin Hyung-kwan, head of music content business at CJ ENM, per Korea JoongAng Daily.
“We will deliver more joy with an expanded lineup and various programs, exceeding expectations,” he added. “We are committed to providing opportunities for fans and artists who love K-pop to communicate closely with each other and create memories.”
On July 17, KCON announced the first line-up of artists who will be performing at the upcoming Germany instalment. They include girl groups Dreamcatcher and KISS OF LIFE, boybands RIIZE and THE BOYZ, rapper Lee Young-ji and more.
The second artist line-up for KCON Germany 2024 was announced on July 24. It added boybands LUN8, NOWADAYS and ONF, girl group ILLIT, as well as soloists Key of SHINee, (G)I-DLE‘s Miyeon and Yugyeom from GOT7.

KCON Germany will be the fourth global KCON event of 2024, after festivals in Hong Kong and Japan, as well as the upcoming annual Los Angeles showcase next month. The K-pop event is also set to head to Saudi Arabia sometime this year.
